Support Sable

Why?

The USA Bobsled and Skeleton Federation can only fund a few bobsled athletes that are competing on the World Cup Circuit. Every other athlete is “self-funded,” and is required to pay for their own equipment, travel expenses, living, food, training, and add on expenses of typical personal bills. (Medical, car, phone, student loans, etc..) As the picture has already been painted, the sport of Bobsled indeed is a very expensive sport.

For Sponsor Interests:

Athletes of the U.S. Bobsled/Skeleton Federation can illustrate logos on their helmets, speed suits and sleds. As there tour level increases so does their media exposure. United States Bobsled and Skeleton athletes participate in a magnitude of public appearances during races and other related media events. The athletes are also available to participate in photo shoots, public speaking engagements, social media shout outs, advertise companies on the athlete’s personal websites and other endorsement opportunities.

As a member of the U.S. Bobsled/Skeleton Federation, Sable is able to market the businesses that fund her. Her season begins with training at various tracks in North America, such as Lake Placid, to eventually being an athlete competing worldwide. With this amount of exposure, a sponsor will have numerous opportunities grow with her and market themselves.

For Contributor Donations:

In addition to looking for Sponsors, Sable is humbly asking for donations – of any amount – that seem appropriate to the contributor. It’s not easy starting from the bottom, new sport, new living, and several new challenges. Every bit of help counts and is cherished. (“Thank You Page” has been created on this site)  Also, as stated below Donations CAN be given in a tax deductible manner.

Ways to DONATE!

1.  Make a donation of any amount easily via Pay Pal or Go FundMe!

https://www.gofundme.com/wr4jhnp3

2. Write a Check!

Checks can be written directly to Sable Otey or to the Utah Skeleton and Bobsled Assc if you'd like to use the Tax ID Number

(Note: This IS a 501c3 association. )

  • All checks should be made out to the USBA (Utah Skeleton and Bobsled Association).

  • With the check, include a letter stating that this donation is for Sable Otey.

  • DO NOT Write Sable Otey's name on the check itself.

The USBA then deposits the entire check amount, which takes 5-10 days to clear to the USBA bank. Once it clears, a check is sent to the athlete.
From there it may take up to 5 more days to clear the athletes account. A letter is then sent to the sponsor/donator saying thank you which
includes a receipt for tax write off purposes. The process takes about 3 weeks.
